November 15 marked the 32nd anniversary of our first day of business in downtown Jefferson. Our faithful volunteers and loyal customers have made it possible to say that recent sales saw us gift Lakeside Lutheran more than $80,000 just for sales in the MONTH of October. That one month of assistance to LLHS is more than the store was able to gift in the first 2 ½ YEARS of operation. (Of course it’s not meant to put down early efforts—it’s merely a picture of the incredible growth we’ve experienced because of amazing volunteers and customers!)

The first week of “Christmas on the floor” at the store was Oct. 6-11, and sales were just over $40,000, with a record-breaking first day over $10,000 sold in 6 hours. What do the volunteers and managers say to those incredible numbers? ALL GLORY TO GOD! Each year we seem to attract more interest, more customers, more donations. With your help, we can also increase our number of volunteers!

Perhaps you've seen the plastic gift cards that we've been selling at the register for a while now (plastic replaced paper early in 2025, pictured above), but what do you do when you'd like to give someone a Twice is Nice store gift card but you can't make it to the store? Great news! Now we also offer digital gift cards! TiN uses the same safe and secure vendor that handles all our register transactions to make our gift cards available. Gift cards, whether plastic or electronic, can be used for any purchase at Twice is Nice; tax applies when the card is used to purchase items in store, not when the gift card is purchased. A great gift idea for your people who love to thrift at the best store around!
You might be wondering how customers use an electronic gift card to pay at the register. They either print out the email they receive when they receive the notification of the gift card, or they can simply have the screen with the gift card bar code on their smartphone when they check out. The clerk will use the scanner at the register to access the dollar amount on the gift card. Shop: Fall brings sweater weather and seasonal home décor opportunities, and Twice is Nice can help you with that. We know some of you are ready and waiting for our annual Christmas WOW, when all things Christmas will be on the sales floor Monday, October 6, 2025, at 10 am! We hope to see veterans and new faces who will help us get a higher than ever amount of Christmas inventory on the floor—parents and teens, grandparents, friends, congregational groups—you’re all needed!
